Catching Cultures Festival V

Het Catching Cultures Orchestra Festival viert haar eerste lustrum op de Culturele ‘Zondag’ van maandag 5 juni (Tweede Pinksterdag)! Muzikale samenwerking met vluchtelingen mag niet ontbreken op deze muzikale Cullturele Zondag.

Het Catching Cultures Orchestra geeft de aftrap om 14.00 uur met een nieuwe formatie met ruim dertig muzikanten. Vluchtelingen uit Syrië, Koerdistan en Soedan spelen met in Nederland opgegroeide muzikanten.

Stilstaan op muziek van Catching Cultures Orchestra zal je niet lukken! Het hele festival staat in het teken van dansmuziek.

Om 15 uur treedt de Eritrese dansgroep Freedom op, en om 15.30 uur volgt Orchestre Partout uit Alkmaar, het langst bestaande ensemble met vluchtelingen uit een asielzoekerscentrum.

Nawras Althany, een Syrische muziekstudent, sluit het festival om 16.30 uur af met zijn band.
